WMATA Trip Planner

to plan your next trip! The Trip Planner offers users up to three different itineraries for getting to their destination by transit. The tool allows you to choose which mode you would like to use (bus, rail or both) and how far you are willing to walk before providing you with your choices. DC Metro Transit
Combines Metro's Trip Planner, Metrorail Station Map, Metrorail service disruptions and news, nearest Metrorail stations and Metrobus stops, and NextBus and Next train information into one action packed app for your Android phone. This app will even calculate fares for Metrorail! The Next Bus information includes the DC Circulator, City of Fairfax CUE, Prince George's County The Bus and the UMD Shuttle-UM.
Stay on track with Spotcycle! This handy bike share system companion app lets you locate nearby bike stations for bike and bike dock availabilities, view bike paths and helps you get to places you want to be – all at your fingertips!
Another great app for DC Metrorail riders. The Ride DC Metro app provides the user with a full Metrorail map, the closest station (using your phones GPS) and trip planning. Simply select your origin and destination stations, and the app quickly provides real-time train arrivals and approximately how long the trip will take.
Walk Score allows you to see how walkable a neighborhood is by assigning points to various characteristics of the area. Accessibility to public transit, sidewalks, nearby stores and restaurants, all of these play a role in calculating the walk score. Now, you can see your walk score on the go and check out nearby apartments and rentals by searching for rentals based on proximity to transit.Walk Score also shows nearby shops and restaurants. This app is currently only available for iPhone.
myTaxi connects riders directly with cab drivers and charges regular cab fares based on service areas. The app is used in Europe and launched in the States this past fall. It is available for iPhones, Android and Windows phones.
